Photobox x Make-A-Wish
Photobox is a long-term sponsor of the charity organisation Make-A-Wish, which brings hope, strength and joy to children with critical illnesses.
We support Make-A-Wish through fundraising, photo product support and employee volunteering.
Why Make-A-Wish?
Make-A-Wish is a charity organisation that helps fulfil the wishes of children aged 3-17 who have been diagnosed with a critical illness – changing their lives and the lives of their families forever. For them, the joy of childhood is brought to an abrupt end, with treatment plans, hospital visits and sleepless nights taking over. A wish helps to revive a childhood stolen by critical illness. It brings light and joy to children and their loved ones and leaves a profound and lasting impact on all their lives.
Our organisations have shared values around the celebration of life and the unforgettable stories we make along the way. This is why we’ve partnered with Make-A-Wish – we’re passionate about celebrating those precious moments with the children and their loved ones.
We support and volunteer
Through donating our products and fundraising, we help make the wishes granted into unforgettable experiences.
Our team of volunteers make, print and ship photo books for around 500-700 wish children a year to help them and their families cherish these memories.
We raise funds
Fundraising is a way for our employees to create lasting memories and commit to making a tangible, positive impact in the greater world.
To boost our efforts and raise even more we started organising the recurring Wish Week: one week filled with internal fundraising events plus donating 10% of our Gift category sales resulted in a total Wish Week donation of €35.476 in 2024.
In September 2023, for the first time, a team of 21 passionate employees from Storio Group took on a physical challenge: a 500km bike ride from London to Amsterdam across four days, raising €20,050 for the foundation. We repeated this fledgling tradition with even greater success in 2024, again cycling from our London office to our Amsterdam office to raise €27,500 for Make-A-Wish International once more, with plans to repeat in 2025.
